saplogon version problem with lotus notes

Former Member

hi everyone.

In our company we have large network of LOtus notes and SAP.We need some data from sap system.

As a result of that we have rfc calls written some developer, and we (lotus developers) have some version problems. Some clients can be successful some are not because of version of saplogon...

By the way we are using lib32rfc.dll (OLE). We have changed the dll files with the new one but we still have problems.(maybe due to registry)

So what can we do to solve this problem?

Thanks.

Hi!

from an architecture perspective, I'd rather recommend to make the Domino server connect to SAP R/3 instead of your application running on the Notes client. So your notes app will call a service or agent on Domino and Domino will connect to R/3.

To do so, you may consider the LEI solution that is offered by IBM, the JCo (SAP Java connector) or choose a SAP Partner solution for RFC access to SAP R/3 of the vendors itelligence AG (Product: it.smart connect) or konplan GmbH (Product: ZeNotes).

However if you want to stick to a client-based solution, then please post your RFC connection string.

You may also consider using Web Services instead of RFC if your SAP System runs on SAP Web Application Server 6.20 or higher.
