Reg - Storage Location Control

Hi Gurus,

How we control the storage location for one location only. This one location some person need view access (Only Display) & Some person have all Activity.

I control in M_MSEG_LGO but not control. They only control in Movement Type code only not stroage location.

If I try remove the one location in the storage bin list but how can i give access for View purpose only.

Pls advise...

ACTVT Activity

WERKS Plant

LGORT Storage Location

BWART Movement Type (Inventory Management)

This one location some person need view access (Only Display) & Some person have all Activity.

this can not be possible using single role.

It is very urgent...

In MB1A, MB1B, MB1C they never consider the Storage Location only in movement type code they control.

Ex: In M_MSEG_LGO - I include only one storage location only but they never control..

Pls advise how to control....

Hi,

this object is not used in authorization check so you get the problem.

check using SU24 -> enter tcode MB1A

navigate to object M_MSEG_LGO i am sure that check indicator proposal for this object is NO.

if you want to check this object the proposal should be YES. change it and save.

since your production system status is not modifiable so do it in development system , a request is created transport it in production.

do it for all tcode which you want to check.

Yes. I done all this process but never control. Movement type code only control in other object not in M_MSEG_LGO object.

Exactly I need to contol the Stroage Location only. The company restrict to use one storage location "ZPSS".( No - Issue, Receive, Transfer) but only the View purpose only.

View purpose for stock check so no problem we give MMBE....

My Target is control the Stroage Location in MB1A, MB1B, MB1C & MIGO.

For testing I create one role and the give this tcode & Specially include object M_MSEG_LGO but never control.

My Role never consider that object. In the object if i empty it also work fine.

Pls advise...

check following

Note 370935 - No check M_MSEG_LGO for stock display

also consider: Note 523511 - FAQ: Authorization check

according to note

For stock lists, the system checks the common material master authorizations just as it does for the material master display. Thus, the system always checks object M_MATE_WRK (plant authorization). A storage location authorization for the material master display has not been planned.

so i think you can not restrict it.

In config setting we control the Storage Location. Pls see the following path :

SPRO->Materials Management->Inventory Management and Physical Inventory->Authorization Management->Authoization check for storage locations).
