Usage of Inetrnet graphics server

What is the usage of Internet Graphics server in Image processing with NetWeaver Web Application server.

Hello Rahul,

IGS (Internet graphics server) is a sub component of WEB application server (SAP environment) which is used by the progrmming aplpications to generate graphical content.

As you are aware, the SAP architecture is now compatible with the web environment (HTTP). There are also programming applications in SAP now apart from ABAP. One of them is Webdynpro These programming applications use the IGS sub component to genarate non interactive SAP graphical content.

In Microsoft windows OS in the MMC, you can see that IGS is displayed as one of the active processes in Java instance.
