Databse upgrade from 9i to 10g

Hi,

We have 10g installed on our DEV,QAS and PROD Landscape. However SAND BOX is still on 9i we have dowloaded 10g dump and guide to upgrade it.

I wanted to know do i need to inform SAP before the upgrade and will we be charged any additional for this upgrade. Will we require a new license key after the upgrade.

you will have no additional license costs, the 17% fee you pay each year covers all upgrades you do on your system.

HI,

take full backup of DB before upgrade DB software.

check the database upgrade guide which you downloaded or use following

if you only upgrade the DB software , no additional license key is required. ( i.e application host remains same)
