Sales BOM - Quantity changes at sub-items level

Dear SAP Expert,

In the sales order entry (VA01), the field higher level item

category (VBAP-UEPOS) is used to connect sub-items to main-item in order to form a BOM in the sales order. Also, most changes you make at main-item level automatically reflect on the sub-items including quantity. Based on the specific situation I have our project, would it be possible for SAP R/3 to not recalculate the quantities for the sub-

items when the order quantity for the main-item is changed?

I don't really think there is, you probably will have to go for enhancement to meet those requirements.

Hi

I donot understood you business case wherein you don't want to change the quantity at line item. Nevertheless you please check your item category and decided that you reqlly want to explode the bom at item level.

Or you have any other purpose please use the strcture scope as "E" in item category and develop your own user exit.
