diff between ECC AND R/3

WHAT IS THE MAIN DIFF BET R/3 AND ECC

AND WHATS THE DIFF BET SOA AND CLIENT SERVER??

Hi,

In client server architecture, client was dependent on server for its technology and implementation design. ie. client should know the server .

SOA approach is more towards loosely coupled architecture where client is used only to consume services(donot need much details about service provider). By using the tecnology of Web Services, SOA has become more interoperable than client-server architecture.

One of diffs between ECC and R/3 is exactly SOA implementation in ECC.

SOA provider/consumer can be viewed as client/server but SOA is open architecture

to support 100% business while client/server could not reach this level.

There were many client/server paradigms like DCE OSF or COBRA OMG and many industry standards

which has really never reached current SOA. They were also started with big entusiasm.

SOA is just in initial stage on the user market very strong implemented by all vendors like SAP or IBM.

However many users still do not feel that SOA is not client/server being very reluctant to SOA implemetations but SOA is on its rise and it will be so much implemented during next 10 years that will change all our world to be better.
