In EWMS , SAP has provided the functions like cross docking , vehicle scheduling , slotting arrangement ,warehouse task,resource management which is not available in standard ECC WM package .

-Warehouse planning is not flexible when planning at the detailed level
-No comprehensive cockpit to view the activities in the warehouse and exception handling
-Slotting and rearrangement is not possible
-Ware house activities are done with respect to Transport request and transport orders
-Supports Simple Put away procedures
-kitting is not possible -stock visibility on staging area not possible
Supports cross docking but transportation cross-docking is not supported
Doesnu2019t support service parts execution

-warehouse planning to the minute level
-warehouse monitoring cockpit helps in monitoring in a sophisticated manner and can be done through different selection parameters.
Slotting and rearrangement is possible
ASN validation and correction is possible

I think that you have had your question answered so if you are happy with this can you please award points if you want to but mainly can you please mark your question as answered so that it is easier to navigate around the open questions in the forum as the number of pages are growing and growing and it takes too long to go through everything especially if a satisfactory answer has already been given and people like me who want to help will give up and so some people may not get any help.
