What is the difference between customer/ material with release status and Material with release status?What is the meaning and importance of Release status? Pls, help me.

Dear aditya

Customer / Material with release status

If you want to maintain the price for a particular customer, say XYZ, then in VK11, if you choose this option, the respective pricing will flow into your sale order only if you maintain here.

Material with release status

Irrespective of customer, if your price is same for a product, say ABC, then you can maintain in VK11 with this option so that whenever you generate sale order for this particular item, the price will flow into your sale order.

Release status is nothing but effective date of the pricing from which the price is valid.

Hi,

The release status controls in which scenarios the condition records are found.

You usually keep it at released for a normal scenario.

Maintain your entries for customer/material combination (At what rate should the material be sold for a particular customer) or just material combination irrespective of whoever is the customer.
