Hi ,
I am trying to install Web AS java add-in in a DEV system.
During the installation process the it prompts for a production client and its DDIC password.. Why do i need a prodction client for a DEV system. Is this mandatory to have a production client only.
And is the client required only for creating a JSF user ?or is it used for some other purposed also ?
Please do provide ur suggestions.
Regards
Bharathwaj
Hi,
The ABAP user SAPJSF is used for RFC communication between Java stack and ABAP stack.
I had no problem when i supplied client ' 000 ' when the SAPINST prompts for Java system --> RFC connection
Hope the above helps!!!

Hello Bharathwaj,
the so called "production" Client is the client you normaly use for development and customizing. AFAIK it is only used to create the JSF User.

Hi,
But is it necessary to have the client as production client in the ABAP system.. ? Is there any notes or doc which validates the same..
Is this standard for all versions of installation.. because i have heard my friends saying that they never got this screen.,. I have to install stack 03 and then upgrade to sp13..
in this scenario it is asking..for the password..
Advice on the same..
Regards
Bharathwaj
