Hi Vishal
As far as my knowledge goes licensing is based on message volume that flows through XI (GB per month). I guess the minimum license fee allows upto 50GB/month. Not sure of what the exact amount is for minumum license as well as for increase in message volume, you will have to get in touch with your local SAP office for that.
cheers

Hi Vishal,
I had worked on such environments, I would suggest to go for any other tool than XI, which may be light & less complex in terms of maintanence & administration.
earlier this was Mercator.

There are many such products & solutions (seebeyond, vitria, etc). these products can be used along with unix scripting (for logging/archiving mechanisms). may be you need to compare them all.
Hope this helps
Regards
Vishnu
