Result recprding after usage decision

Dear Masters

I want to do the result recording after stock posting ( Usage Decision)

1.Inspection Plan : With two operations.I have attached MIC with long term inspection to one operation.I am using controll key QM01. (w/o work centre)

2.Master Insp Characteristics : I have created as a long term characteristics.Status is released & complete copy model.

Then also I am not able to do the result recording after usage decision is made and stock posting is done.

Please suggest as the matter is most urgent .

Hello Ram,

if you want to record values after the UD, you have to put the characteristics into proess (status 2) prior to making the UD.

Is there a reason you have to do the UD? You can make the stock postings at anytime. You don't HAVE to provide a UD code. Making the UD and positng stock are independent of each other. It's just that many places use the UD code to do the posting in the background upon saving.

Also, if you really don't want the material in QI at all, just un-tick the Post to QI setting in the inspection type set-up.
