Domain Change

Hello,

We have a planned change of Domain across our organization eg. from A to B.

My System is ECC 6.0 SP 14 with Oracle 10g version 10.2.0.2.0 on Win2003 SP2.

This domain change will also change the Hostname of the system.

I would like to know, how to migrate my system to the new Domain and hostname, in SAP context as the Domain & Host change will be done by the IT Infrastructure team.

In my SAP & Oracle system, where all do I need to change the hostname entries?

Please tell me what all precautions to take and what are the side-effects.

Not an easy task... this involves:

changing domain account SAPService<SID>

check the saplicense if valid for new domain

check the windows services entries, i.e saposcol

check window registry to reflect new domain/hostname

For changing hostname, you can refer to SAP Note 8307.
