Hi all,
I want to open a file using an HTML view on VC. I mentioned the file path as : file://C:\Documents and Settings\saeeda03\Desktop\TEMP.CSV. but when i deploy the dash board, it is just displaying an empty white box. Have i missed anything??
Please respond.

Hi Al,
HTML view accepts only URL. i'e physical path is not accepted. it accepts only virtual path. So make virtual directory of the docs which you are supposed to be opened by HTML view. and try giving virtual path.
Thanks,
Prashant

Hi Prashant.
I am giving the path like "http://145.82.188.31/Excel Files/Portfolio Movement.xls" where 145.82.188.31 is my computer IP, Excel Files is the virtual directory name and Portfolio Movement is the filename. But this file is opening on my computer only. when I open the dashboard on some other computer, it says that "Page cannot be dislayed". why it is so?? what should i do to resolve this?
Please respond.
