Hi Al,

HTML view accepts only URL. i'e physical path is not accepted. it accepts only virtual path. So make virtual directory of the docs which you are supposed to be opened by HTML view. and try giving virtual path.

Thanks,

1) Go to Start-->Run

2) type inetmgr and press enter

3) Go to default Web Site.

4) right click on it, Select New-->Virtual Directory

5) Give Alise name.

6) give the path

7) Check Browse option.

😎 Finish

Access the file with URL

http://servername/VirtualDirectoryName/FileName

Thanks,

Hi Prashant.

I am giving the path like "http://145.82.188.31/Excel Files/Portfolio Movement.xls" where 145.82.188.31 is my computer IP, Excel Files is the virtual directory name and Portfolio Movement is the filename. But this file is opening on my computer only. when I open the dashboard on some other computer, it says that "Page cannot be dislayed". why it is so?? what should i do to resolve this?

Please respond.

Best Regards,
