Dear All,

I am trying to install ecc 6.0 with java 1.4.2_09 and oracle 10.2 on window server 2003 enterprise edition sp2.

while system specs is

H/D 500gb

Ram 4gb

proc. 2.66 with 4mb

1.I am facing problem of swap size during the installation while my system only support to 4092 mb.

How can i increase the virtual memmory?

2.Installation also require the solution mananger key.

can i create the SM key or not?

you can create 4GB pagefiles on each disks.

or, you can use bigger ones by using this link:

Hi,

how may partation you defined in windows 2003 server ?

defined atleast three partation for your installation.

swap size on windows = 3 times of RAM

you can set virtaul memory for each partation or you can set swap file on single partation a swap file cannot take more than 50 percent of the available usable hard drive space in windows 2003 server.

chenge it using following

right click on my computer -> properties -> advanced -> under performance click settings ->select advanced tab -> under virtual memory click change

here you can set swap space for your drive ( i.e you can assign 50% of free and available HDD space as swap size )

for solution manager key you have to install solution manager.

Swap size:

Just create additional page file on another partition.You can have one page file per partition.

Solution Manager Key:

You can create Solution Manager Key in Solution Manager system only:

Generate solution manager key from Solution Manager system using OSS note 805390

• Tools->Solution Manager->System Landscape Systems->Create New System

• Then goto top menu system->Other Objects

Select SID then click on Generate Key icon
