Hi gurus,
I am not able to find either business partners or any resources in cProjects which were defined in SAP ERP.
My questionnaire here is
How to get resources name and number in cProjects from SAP ERP?
I am looking for assigning task and Roles to a resource in the roles tab available in projectsStructureproject elements.
Could anyone please help in resolving this issue?
If any document is available then please mail to sureshj9@gmail.com
I will give full points for appropriate response. Thanks in advance.
Regards
Suresh. J
Hi
What Neil said is right.
You can refer to my wiki
https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/PLM/HR_CATS_Cproject+Scenario
I have explained the flow in this post.
After doing HR integration in oo_central_person or in SPRO
you need to transfer HR master to cProject > business partner by may be running a report HR_sync
then you have HR data with name and details like qualification etc (based on infotypes maintained in HR) to cProjects.
Use this number to assign to role.
then assign to task.
Dont forget to award points if useful

Hi Niranjan,
Thanks for your reply. Still I am not able to resolve issue. I am not able to view resource details. Could you be more elaborative on your info.
I have entered BP data in SAP easy access. But no details are coming into cProjects.
Please provide me step by step process.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Suresh,
Are you using WFM core with cProjects?
If not, then please make changes in your Role Type.
Goto IMG --> Collaboration Projects --> Resource Management --> Basic Settings for Project Roles -->
Define Project Role Types
Select the appropriate role type and untick the 'WFD Server' option.
Now when you try to assign a business partner to this role, you will not get the mentioned error message.
Alternatively, if you are using WFM Core, you would need to maintain the same for each business partner before you assign it to a role.
Let me know if this helps.

Hi Vivek,
Thanks for your suggestion.
I have followed your instructions. But still there is a warning message. The following is the warning message which I have been getting while assigning resource to tasks.
W:PRP_UI:057
I am not able to see any resource info in ProjectsStructureProject element Roles.
Please help in resolving this issue. Points will be given for appropriate reply.
Best regards

Hi Suresh,
Check the customizing point Resource Management> Business Partners>Setup integration of HR>Activate HR integration
Kind regards,
Neil
