hello,

i want to do client copy in my flesh sap ecc 6 server. at the first step, i have created client number via scc4. after that, i want to process sccl in my new client(700). but it seems the sap* in the new client is not working, it reports username or password is incorrect(repeat logon). i've tried many pwd, the default 06071992, pass and also the pwd i set during installation.

after quering from installation guide. it needs one step as following,

2. Activate kernel user SAP*:
a) Set the profile parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar to 0.
b) Restart the application server.

.

can anyone tell me how to do this step? i can not find where to set this profile parameter, i looked it from su01 but failed.

any response will be awarded!

thanks a lot!

samson

Hi

Go to RZ10 ,select DEFAULT profile and set the parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar to 0 . Restart and login to the newly created client with sap* and PASS.

Thanks

Hello Samson,

The SAP* password in all other clients ( all non 000 clients) is "pass"

in client 000 the default password for SAP* (as you already mentioned) is either what ever you set during installation or 06071992

Hope this helps.
