Does anyone have experience with migrating a Windows based SAP server to a new Active Directory domain?
I would like to know if the Active Directory Migration Tool process would successfully migrate the SAP server to the new domain.

A few things to watch for during this process:
1. Service user permissions on the server. When moving to a new domain, the local permissions may not migrate.
2. The user account on the server may also change due to a change in the user GUID, so any environment variables tied to the ADM user may be lost, so you may want to copy all the ADM user environment variables to server environment variables, or just create the user EV's when the new account is created on the server. The EV's are necessary for SAP to start.
We will not be migrating to new hardware (new server). We are just moving the server from one domain to another. We are using the Windows 2003 Active Directory Migration Tool to migrated the user & service accounts. The tool will also perform a security translation for the accounts and migrate the computer object.
