Within my text node, I have several paragraphs. I need these paragraphs to have a hanging indentation so the first line sticks out to the left as such:
-- this is the first line of the first paragraph. it
takes more than 2 lines to print.
-- this is the first line of the second paragraph.
-- this is the firlst line of the third parag. it, too
takes up more than one line when printing.
it is the longest paragraph.
-- this is the only line of the 4th paragraph.
I've tried sliding the hanging indent marker on the ruler and when I do then, the text looks fine. But when I save or activate, the text flips back to it's un-indented state.
Does anyone know how to set hanging indents in this tool?
Hence for your requirement, create n number paragraph formats as per ur requirement

Hi ,
do u want to ptint the paragaraph like this
" The paragraph starts here and its goes like this..........................................
and in the second line it will be like this....................................................................
............................. ends here."
If u want to have paragraph like this then
1.Create a paragraph format (e.g. p1) in smartstyles
2.While creating a paragraph format , use the "Indents and Spacing" tabs and give the neceesary indentation u require in the field Indent First Line
e.g u give
Indent First Line 2.00 CM
3.In the smartform while, giving the text element start with the P1 and in the subsequent line give continous text .i,.e it should be like this
P1 The paragraph starts here and its goes like..........................
space .......................and in the second line it will be like this......
space .......................................................ends here
Now ur first line in tha paragraph will be indented 2 CM
Reward if u find it useful
