what can i exclude from a backup - RP

using one of our RP servers as an example what files

and directores in /usr/sap/QRP/DVEBMGSO2 can I exclude from backups

for example

can I exclude all the files in ../log/ ?

how about ../work/ ?

others ?

Hi Pete

U should take the backup of the whole /usr/sap atleast once a month or after an upgrade...because u require this to restore a system from scratch.

If there is a space constraint u can leave out logs .. but that too would not have an impact on ur space in a major sort of a way...
