APO DP - creation of forecasting selection ids

I am using APO DP V5.

Via an LSMW upload program, I want to create forecasting selection ids in APO DP from a source file. A typical source file will identify a product and customer and I want to create a forecast selection id, so that we can then update the relevant forecast selection table /1APO/S00000nnn.

Can anyone identify the appropriate function module to create these forecasting selection id.

Some function modules I can think of

GUI_UPLOAD

/SAPAPO/MCPSH_SELECTION_SAVE

I would rather recommend writing a Z program doing this as it will be very plain and simple.
