Hello,

either JSE 5 or JSE 6 (some platforms). For details, please refer to [SAP note 959236|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/959236].

Best regards

But isn't this going to hurt the install of PI7 which is supported on J2SDK1.4.2_16 which brings in JRE14216?

Hello,

please make sure that PI7 is using JRE 1.4.2 and SAP GUI for Java JSE 5 or 6.

This could be done by having the JRE 1.4.2 as default JVM and modifying guilogon.bat or SAP GUI for Java to have an explicit path to javaw.exe of JSE 5 or 6.

There should be also a way to tell PI7 explicitly which JRE to use, but unfortunately I do not know the details of PI7.

Best regards

Rolf-Martin
