can some explain me the difference bet inspection type and inspection origin.

the inspection origin cannot be changed and can be found in the TQ31 table:

Origin Origin Text

01 Goods Receipt

02 Goods Issue

03 Production

04 Goods Receipt from Production

05 Other Goods Receipt

06 Return from Customers

07 Vendor Audit

08 Stock Transfer

09 Recurring Inspection

10 Delivery to Customer with Customer Orde

11 Delivery to Customer Without Sales Orde

12 General Delivery

13 Repetitive Manufacturing

14 Plant Maintenance

15 Sample Management

16 Stability Study

17 Externally Triggered Inspection

89 Miscellaneous

To each origin you can define different inspection types, these are saved in TQ32. For example:

Origin Variant Type

01 01 01 Goods Receipt Inspection for Order

01 02 0101 Goods Receipt Inspection, Model

01 03 0102 Goods Receipt Inspection, Preliminary

01 04 0130 Receiving Insp. at GR from Ext. Process.

As you can see all types are assigned to the inspection origin 01. These can be selected via user status settings in the Q-Info set or you can use the Exit QAAT0001 to select the correspondent inspection type.

Hi,

The inspection type determines how an inspection is to be carried out.

Each inspection type is assigned to an inspection lot origin. There can be several inspection types for an inspection lot origin. For example, the inspection lot origin "goods receipt for a purchase order" can have inspection types:

First sampling

Normal inspection

Inspection lot origin identifies the origin of an inspection lot.

Eg:

Inspection lot for an inventory posting in Materials Management

Inspection lot for a production order
