hi guru's
cn u tell me how different is sap-sd in manufacturing and pharma industry? actly i m gng for a implementation in pharma industry soo how it would be different.
Hi
Pharma industry also involves manufacturing, doesn't it? So if you are familiar with the general manufacturing process, it is no way radically different from general manufacturing. Depending on whether the manufacturing is for Basic Drugs, Formulations and so on, there could be subtle differences.
Since Pharma products are manufactured and tracked in batches, knowledge of batch management will be useful. You can practice in your Sandbox, the general batch-related SD settings.

Dear Rahul
As rightly said by Ramana since Pharma industry also involves manufacturing activity, you can certainly manage. But since the stocks are maintained mainly based on batches, you should have some sound knowledge in batch determination.
Please go through the help links and make practice in development server.
thanks
