Hi,
How can we know from where my file adapter has picked up the file from FTP (location) server in the RTWorkbench or moni,
---> The file is alwyas picked up from the Source directory and file name provided in the Sender file Communication Channel.
In RWB, you could monitor the log of Communication channel of Sender file. It will show you the details (Timespan, message ID and all) of the file to be picked up.
Probably if you need confirmation you could either delete the file or process it as archive along with timespan so you could have the trace in FTP server also.
and what was the size of the file before it was converted to xml .
The size of your fiel will be mostly same, for.e.g in SXMB_Moni you will get the payload and you can copy it and save it on local PC where you will get the size of file processed.
in case when there is some problem with the message, like system message or so..
When there is some problem with message you will get the detail log in SXMB_MONI and RWB, with the help of the details of log you could easily trace the problem.

You can find it from RWB but not SXMB_MONI.
You go to the following :
RWB --> Communication Channel Monitoring ---> select Your Adapter . This will show the Message Procssed status. You click on the Message Thread ( Message ID) this will show up a new Window with detailed Processing steps under the Audit log tab.
There you can find the Path/Directory from where the file was picked along with the Size.

Hi,
In order to test whether file is picked up by adapter or ot.
U can set the delete option in file adapter.
if ur file is deleted after the polling interval then ur file is picked up ortherwise there is some parameter problem in file adapter.
U can see the status of file adapter using RWB if there is an error after picking up the file.
follow: RWB->component monitoring->communication channel monitoring->search file adapter with file name and check the status of file adapter.
For checking the input/output payload u can see it using SXMB_MONI transaction.
Thnx
Chirag
