Hi,
I have a query on customer number ranges.
Currently, there is a scenario where i maintain internal numbering. And a unique number is generated.
I want to change the number range to external number range.
Except for the changes in configs where i change the number range setting, will i have to do any other changes?
And are there any other implications if i do this change? Like, where it will get affected..
Thanks in advance,
Kanishka
Hi Kanishka,
Making the number range from internal to external for customer master will not have any huge implication. The only thing you have to make note of is not to use the same numbers once again for creating customers.

HI kanishka,
1.Define the external number range to the customer account groups in the transaction XDN1
Do the check for external
2.Go through this transaction OBAR change the No range asignment to the Customer account group
and assign the new number range to the customer account group.
As per my thinking it will not effect any other transactions.
I will just give the number for new records according to number range intervels
I hope it will help you
Thanks,
Murali.
