Using WAS 6.40 (without JAVA stack) as webserver for static HTML pages

Hi,

we want to use our BW server based on WAS 6.40 but without a JAVA stack as a webserver for static HTML pages. The reason is, that we want to use the same hostname and port as for our BSP applications, to prevent adding new entries to DNS and firewalls.

The best solution would be to have the HTML files in the file system of the BW machine and tell the ICF the correct path.

Is there a possiblity to do it this way or are there better solutions?

Regards,

Marko

Hi Marko,

you can do this by setting the profile parameter icm/HTTP/file_access_0 (e.g. to PREFIX=/data/,DOCROOT=/usr/htmlfiles).

Have a look at the documentation of this profile parameter in RZ10.

Hope this solved your problem.
