Activation of an activity failed

Hi all,

I have created two activities - dc_sme_oct21_modify03 and dc_sme_oct21_modify04. both the activities are successfully built and deployed on local machine, but when i try to activate any one of them or both of them together , it says activation failed. For reference build log is provided as below:

The problem is caused by cache entries in the CBS. Restarting the CBS service cleans out the cache, and the objects can be activated.

Worst case, the CBS service needs to be restarted after each activation. We are working with SAP on a permanent fix.

Hi Smita,

While activating your DC's CBS interacts with DTR and gets the sources and copies them to the directory which in your case is /usr/sap/PDI/DVEBMGS11/j2ee/cluster/server0/temp/CBS/<Request>..

Now firstly you can check whether there is problem with syncing sources. The user specified in the CMS Domain configuration should have authorizations to access DTR.

Also you can check whether the directory /temp/CBS has write access.

Some of these things.
