Automatic mail alert to user when backgruond job cancelled

Hi Experts,

I want to do enable automatic mail alert to users when any job canceled which is scheduled by that user. How can i do this? Please tell me your suggestions.

You can develop an ABAP program for it and use any classs for mailing servide as I developed an ABAP program and schedule to run it on every morning at 8 for cancelled jobs.

My environment is 4.7E, SQL2000, Win 2003 Server.

Hi Gayathri,

One way of doing this is to configure CCMS for background job monitoring and there is a provision for automatic mail alert configuration which will send a mail to the concerned person to take appropriate actions.

In RZ20 -> SAP CCMS Technical Expert Monitors -> System / All Monitoring Segments / All Monitoring Contexts -> <hostname>_<sid>_<system no.> -> R3Services -> Background -> AbortedJobs -> Configure using Properties button
