I have a File to File (FTP) scenario.
The message caught the system error in the Adapter engine with out any error message.
the last message noted in the adapter engine is

Please suggest to resolve the error.
Thanks in advance,

Hi MK,
In Manual Mode, you have to manually start the Communication channel, wait for it to pick up the files and then stop the channel.
When you want to put it in Automatic mode, you have to create an Availability Time Plan for that channel, where in you specify the time and the duration for which you want the channel to remain active and poll for files. You can also specify the series start and series end dates,so within this period you need not manually start the channels,it will start and stop as per the schedule you have specified in the Availability Time Plan.
Hope this helps.
Thanks and Regards,
Induja
Hi all,
I re-started the Receiver channel, and moved the control from Automatic to manually.
And the message went through successfully.
Please expain me what went wrong and
what actually the Automatic and Manually control does? when to use them?
when we select automaitc control, we have to define availability timing planner, right?
If we don't define, (as it was in my scenario) the message will caught system scenario?
Thanks in advance.

>>the connection to the FTP server timed out while uploading data.
It means when XI is trying to put the file to the FTP server, there it is facing a connection problem. Try to do this:
-Inactivate the file rec cc and activate the change list.
-then activate the file rec adapter and also activate the change list.
- see the status of the CC in the communication channel monitoring.
-send the message to XI.
-Do again check the status of the Receiver file adapter...(assuming ur message succsessfully send out from IE to AE)
Also check FTP server is up or not and try to notice weather there might any connection problem..like server is up for few mints and again it gets going down:)
Thanks
Farooq

Hi Raj,
I have checked the message in SXI_MONITOR, it shows successfull.
It gives the right o/p in request message mapping.
The receiver adapter had a problem before:
Error occurred while connecting to the FTP server : java.io.IOException: The connection to the FTP server timed out while uploading data.
But it is working fine now.
Communication channel is correctly configured and started
Please suggest further.
Thank you
There is a time limit which is fixed for the FTP server...it will not allow to login to the FTP and put the data above that limit...it will menion the time out error.....
I am not sure how do we increase that paramter in the FTP but i have faced this in serveral occasions.....for us it was around 50k records ...we had to break this to smaller chunks which we did by kee[ping variants on theR/3....
If this is the problem you can break the files into smaller files and process.....
i hope this is causing the problem, if not let us know.

Raj,
As i mentioned above,
the last message noted in the (audit log)adapter engine is
Success File adapter receiver: processing started; QoS required: ExactlyOnce
Agasthuri Doss,
There are no error messages.
It shows the message: Processing started
Polling interval started. Length: 60.0 seconds
Processing finished successfully
And the file is deleted from the source directory.
