Unable to Install Software packages on ECC 6.0 on Windows 2003 with Oracle

Hi ,

I am trying to install ECC 6.0 on Windows 2003 SP2 R2 with Oracle ,

I am not able to install the software packages from the DVD1 , DVD2 and DVD3 EXP1 2 3 .

this is the error I am getting .

You entered: E:\EXP1 For copying a package you have to specify the source location for the requested package SAP:NETWEAVER:2004sSR2:EXPORT(1/3):: Specifiy the location which contains the right LABEL.ASC, or empty the copy input field !!

please help on this

Hi,

open e:\exp1\label.asc file with wordpad

i think you have run installation of NW04s ABAP system not ERP2005 ABAP system.

Hi,

the export is look like ok,

After run sapinst.exe which path you selected to run installation.

the path should be SAP ERP 2005 SR2 -> Sap Systems -> Oracle -> Central System -> Central System Installation.

following is details of EXPORT

EXPORT1 -> which contain EXP1 ... EXP6 folder and label.asc should be SAP:ECC:600SR2:DVD_EXPORT(1/2):Installation Export DVD:DXXXXXXXX_1

EXPORT2 -> Which contain EXP7....EXP11 folder and label.asc should be SAP:ECC:600SR2:DVD_EXPORT(2/2):Installation Export DVD:DXXXXXXXX_2

this is the path I seleceted SAP ERP 2005 SR2 -> Sap Systems -> Oracle -> Central System -> Central System Installation.

please suggest me how to reslove this issue , why I am getting the

SAP:ECC:600SR2:DVD_EXPORT(1/11):Installation Export CD:DXXXXXXXX_1

cd instead of dvd , can i modify this lable.asc file ?

please give me the solution

HI,

did you downlod the ECC 6.0 export from service.sap.com

this all file is in .rar format

put all files in one folder like export and extract it using runing .exe file this create two folder.

XXXXXX_1 and XXXXXX_2

XXXXXX_1 contain EXP1,EXP2,....EXP6

XXXXXX_2 contain EXP7,EXP8,.....EXP11

when installation is ask for export CD/DVD give the path for XXXXXX_1 not for EXP1

What is an "evaluate version"? There exists two packages for ERP:

- a "normal" ERP 2005 installation

- an ERP 2005 IDES installation

You need a complete CD set for both - you can't e. g. use the "normal" installation master to install an IDES version and vice versa.
