Hello,

While trying to install MDM iviews in EP and after following the steps as under:

Prerequisites

• SAP Enterprise Portal (EP) 6.0 SP 12 or higher is installed.

• MDM Java Connector is installed as described in the MDM 5.5 SP02 - Installation

Guide on SAP Service Marketplace.

• The shipped MDM iView templates are installed in the SAP Enterprise Portal. (only the .eda files gets imported wondering what needs to be done of the .par file?)

Process Flow

...

1. Logon to the portal as administrator.

2. Create the system object and define a system alias:

a. Choose System Administration System Configuration System Landscape.

b. Click your folder from the Portal Content tree with the secondary mouse button

and choose New System.

In the System Wizard make the following settings:

i. Step 1: Choose the MDM system. Click Next.

At this point it results in the following error:

iview not found:com.sap.pct.mdm.tech.systems.MDMSystemWizard

Please help,

Dharmi

Dharmi,

If I remember it right there are couple of SDA files that need to be deployed using the SDM. Did you do that?

Hello Ravi,

Yes, I did deploy the 2 sda files. I also imported the .epa files but the question is what should be done about the .par files?

Dharmi

Hi Dharmi,

you need to deploy the .par files

com.sap.pct.mdm.appl.masteriviews.par

com.sap.pct.mdm.tech.systems.par

com.sap.pct.mdm.tech.wizards.par

via the Portal (System Administration -> Support -> Portal Runtime -> Administration Console -> Archive Uploader).

This should solve the problem.

Andreas

I have installed these in succession for MDM on EP 6:

1) the 2 sda files via SDM

2) the 3 par files uploaded via Sys Admin -> Support

3) the 2 epa files imported via Sys Admin -> Transport

Problem: "MDM" not visible in Portal Content

hierarchy under S=hystem Landscape.

Any clues.....appreciated...........
