Hi, I am taking XI class this month. One of the assignment I am trying to do is HTTP to email scenario. I have tried using smtp.gmail.com and smtp.comcast.net in URL field of Communication channel. When I check communication channel under runtime workbench. It gives me connection timed out. I am not sure what the issue is here. Thanks Sameer
HI,
usually u can get the smtp server address from your outlook ... tools -> email accounts -> exchange server settings -> microsoft exchange server.
First check if your SMTP server is running
for doing the same you just check with a mail client like Outlook Express, if you can access to the mail server?
Maybe you need user and password in the Mail Adapter configuration.
and also note the fact that you dont need to apply the port number, if the mail server uses the standard smtp port 25.
please go through this link also...it should help you:
