2-step Picking in Production

Hi all

is there anybody know how to set the 2 step picking in Production?

Which are, in details, the customizing and master data settings?

I've customized my system (SAP 4.6C) following the documentation but, probably I've lost some detils.

I've set the 200 storage type.

I've set the shipment type P

I've set the 850 movement type with dest. storage 200 and transfer type P and requirement type F

I've set 261 mov type with transfer type 'A' and Requirement tyoe 'F'.

I've set transfer requirement control with 2stP '2' and Mty 850

I've set transfer type control P with '2'.

I've activated the storage type search with operation 2 and storag type 200.

When I create and release a production order with a component in the wm storage location.

When I try to make the material staging the sitstem give me the message "No WM relevant component exist".

What did I miss?

Hi,

Regarding 2 Step picking, all the config settings are correct, but regarding the materials which u have used in the Production Order, are they WM Managed, means; the materials have to be extended with WM Views.

That's why it says, no WM relevant component exists.

Check the materials, and add the WM views.

Yes The material is WM managed, I didn't say this thing only because is the main requirement.

I've already a stock in WM storage, but the process doesn't work.

Hi,

In Production Order, u might be having more than one components, does all the components or BOMs are WM managed.

Is the Storage Location WM Managed.

Hi Aktar,

I am looking to implement the 2 step picking process for my Production line. My warehouse is in a different building and i want to stage the materials/components for the production orders of the day in the morning.

I have activated the 2 step picking for the warehouse and also changed the material movement 850 to have a destination storage type as 200. But i am unable to complete the process.

Do you have a step by step guide which could help me do this?

Your help shall be appreciated.
