Installation Netweaver 2004s (PI)- XI

Hello!:

We are installing the NW2004S_SR2-PI and the application server is a linux 32bits. The database server is in the same server and is a oracle 10.2_32.

In the phase prepare to configure as Java (36 of 93) appers the following error:

Operation mode of SDM in JStartupFramework is "Integrated".

Check if Server is running already.

OK server is not running. Enable SDM Process in JStartupFramework.

ERROR: Could not reach message server to enable SDM process in JStartupFramework. (Could not create JStartupClusterController: Connection refused)

Could not start SDM. Processing error. Return code: 104

I have updated the next patches. The Old patches is CORETOOLS09_0.SCA to CORETOOLS13_0.SCA

I have tried launch again the installation but the problems continues.

The level of CORETOOLS now is

/oracle/XIT/sapdata4/CDS/Java/J2EE_OSINDEP/UT/CORETOOLS09_0.SCA. How can I update this package? Although I change the package by hand, the installation picks up the level 9.

My solution:

Try a combination of heap size, Xms and Xmx in config tool with the following values:

Max heap size = 512 (if still no luck raise to 1024)

Xms = 256 (if still no luck raise to 512)

Xmx = 256 (if still no luck raise to 512)

No to forget to restart the instance.

Also be patient, and try a few times, in my case, it didn't work with above values in the first two attemtps and went through in third.

Has the j2ee_admin password been changed recently? The secure store may need to be updated if so.

I try to connect to database but it present the following error.

com.sap.engine.frame.core.configuration.ConfigurationException: Error while connecting to DB.

The password os user j2ee_admin has not been changed.
