Please guide me ..... How to set Alphanumeric number range for documents, as present customisation ia asking for numeric numbers only.

In spro
go by this way:
cross application component--->document management>control data---->define no reange for doc no.
then click on change interval and then new interval define the no range like pp01 to pp9999 and click on extenal.
same no range call in dc10 for document type.
if any problem put the message in messenger.
if usefule reward the point.

Go to DC10
In standard system, ythe program which controlls number assignment is MCDOKZNR.
Put the inernal number range..
Hope this wud solve the problem.

You can define number assignment in Customizing for Document Management under Define document types.
Type of number assignment
Choose a type that supports internal number assignment, for example BLANK as value (internal or external number assignment)
Enter the internal number range
Enter the program for the number assignment
In the standard system, number assignment is controlled by the MCDOKZNR program.
