hi...
Please guide me ..... How to set Alphanumeric number range for documents, as present customisation ia asking for numeric numbers only.
Hi Pramod
While creating the doc. type , u can select various types of number ranges like
Internal
External
Mixed etc
Internal - system generates a number eg. 10000265, 10000266
External- we manually key in the number
Mixed - we key in few Alphabets and sytem genarates number internally.. ABC100001, ABC100002 etc
So u can give alphanumberic numbers through Mixed number assignment or using External option.

Hi Pramod Patil
In SPRO go to Cross-Application components> Document management> Control Data-->Define number ranges for Document Numbers
Open in Change mode and insert a new range, provide your alphanumeric format eg if you want four digits of alphabets and four digits of numeric then enter AAAA0001 in "From number" and ZZZZ9999 in "To number".
Then enter the interval number in T.code DC10 for that particular document type.

Hi,
You can create a document type of your choice by using DC10
there you can create your choice of number range.
One thing you have to take care is the number range should be external...
