I have a doubt

My scenario is R/3 to XI to a different R/3.The idoc is moving from R/3 then Xi and then reciever R/3.

Can someone tell me that at idx2 transc at XI server---when I click on create button it asks me to fill in the various fields .So what shud I fill in the Source port.......

Shud I fill in the Port from where the Idoc is coming or the port of reciever R/3 where the Idoc will be going??

Thanx

hi pankaj!

You don't have to do any entries in IDX2. For sending IDoc you need to configure IDX1 only. this will need an RFC Destination;

At runtime, using the RFC transactinal port, IDX2(metadata) values will be filled.

If you are making any changes in the IDoc structure, there you need to delete the currect version of IDoc which is present in the IDX2.

Hi,

In R3 sender system u haev already created the port so from sender side ur IDOC will be sned from that R3 system port.

Now from XI the IDOC will be send to R3 receiver system through Xi port so u need to crerate the port in Xi using IDX1 transaction and then u need to upload the IDOC meta data using IDX2 transaction.

Refer the link for step by step process:
