lock sap*

Hi Team,

We would like to lock SAP* for J-SOX...

Will it have any impact on other applications..

Hi Sataya,

Yeah you dont have any impact on the server but you as per SAP standard dont use this SAP* id.One thing is that you can logon to visual admin with any of the user id not even with the j2ee_admin. So it better to deactivate the SAP* in your java stack.

Open config tool

then go to configuration editor mode.

Then cluster_data>server>cfg>services>propertysheet.com.sap.security.core.ume.services.

Then go to superadmin and deactivate it.

Hi Vamshi,

We are working on 4.6c ..

I think only way to lock it is SU01 and do we need to take care of any other steps before locking SAP* user..

hello Satya,

SAP* locking will not any adverse impact unless and until you have scheduled jobs to run in its name. I mean this is just an example. Otherwise no impacts. Any yeah SU01 is the way to go.

Any ways i thought you were looking in Java stack,

if not you can do it su01 and it doesnot have any impact.
