Dear Guru
What is Transporation connecton point?
Where it will effect in routing
why i need to maintain transporation connection point
with Example please
Thanks and Regards
Durga rpasad
Hi Durga,
Transportation connection point is like a stage wher you will do small changes or some thing..
For Ex: u want to deliver the goods to the customer who is belong to Srilanka..
The shipping point is different location where port is not available. Then wat they will do to fine out the Transit time and all they will maintaine one connection point
A ( Shipping Point ) ---> B ( port ) -
>C ( Destination point )
For this they will maintain the Transit time between A and B and B and C .That is very easy to find the stock postion ..
This B u can maintain as Transportation connection point...
I hope u understand the example..
Rewards, if it is useful
Regards
Durga Prasad

Dear Prasad,
The transportation conection points means starting and ending points of the leg or stage in the route.
Through example you can understand better.
If there is a route from Hyderabad to Mumbai. When you transport the goods from HYD to Mumbai in beetween you can have supply to Pune customer and Cholapur customers.
To perform that in the SAP you need to define the Route and stages for that route.
Route is HYD2MUM
Stages(legs) of the route HYD2MUM are
1.One stage (Leg) is HYD to Cholapur.
2.Second stage(Leg) is Cholapur to Pune.
3.Third stage is (Leg) is Pune to Mumbai.
When you define a stage to the route you need to enter the transportation connection points to that stage.Based on these conection points route stages will come in the shipment document.
Transpotation connection points are
For first stage Company shipping point place -
> Cholapur customer place
For second stage Cholapur Customer place ---> Pune customer place
For third stage Pune customer place ---> Mumbai customer place
I hope it will help you
Thanks,
Murali.
