Coverage Strategies from 3.0b to 6.0 in AFS

We are trying to upgrade from AFS 3.0b to AFS 6.0. In our pursuit of this goal we are having difficulties moving from plant dependent coverage structures to independent structures.

Specifically our problem is with the area of "Dependent Requirements / Stock Transfers".

We have single stock categories that map to multiple requirement categories. How do we accomplish this?

Example:

Stock Cat Req Cat

1 XYZ 000 -

---

> 1 XYZ 000

1 XYZ 000 -

---

> 1 ABC 000 <--- this second entry is not allowed because it matches the first entry stock category.

Please advise.

AFS materials can be carried in different plants with different coverage strategies, stock and requirement categories of plants involved and it assigned to each other during cross plant stock transfers.

AFS>Cross Application Components>Categories-->maintain category allocation.

IMG --> Logistics General --> AFS Categories --> Define Coverage Strategies --> Coverage Strategies --> Dependent Requirements / Stock Transfers.

As previously mentioned we cannot add more than one stock category to multiple requirements categories. Is this something that we need to restructure, or is there more configuration to allow this under the plant independent category structure?
