Hi All!!

I´m new on FTP Transport Protocol.

I have a BPM which is triggered when a file is came from a R/3 server throug FTP Transport Protocol.

I have indicate on the Communication Channel Sender corresponding to the FTP the server (my server name), the port (21), the directory (/tmp) and the file name (file.xml), but no messages come to XI.

Is neccesary to configure the security settings? If is yes, please guide me on this steps.

Thanks and regards,

Manuel Míguez.

Hi,

1)Check the Polling secs in the Sender File Adapter

2)Check Whether your File adapter is active

3)The User ID ( File Adapter ) Check has the Right to read the File

4)Manually try to log into the FTP Server with User id mentioned in the File Adapter

Hi Agasthuri Doss!

How can I check if the File Adapter is active?

I have mentioned my R/3 user, is this user correct or must be a specific user to access to the server?

Thanks and regards,

Manuel.

Hello,

you don't have to use ccms!

In RWB choose Component Monitoring -> Adapter Engine -> Communication Channel Monitoring

Manuel,

The File Channel - FTP Protocol is used to poll the data from FTP server. Try to install some FTP server like Guild FTP in your R/3 server, map the folder to the FTP server, then give the FTP server name and parameters in File Channel.

I think the problem is that I have not installed the FTP Server.

The error is on the Communication Channel Monitoring is:

An error occurred while connecting to the FTP server 'masapcl1.izar.es:21'. The FTP server returned the following error message: 'com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 530 Login incorrect.'. For details, contact your FTP server vendor.

Thanks to all and sorry my ignorance,

Manuel.

Hi,

This error is not due to not hosting fort the FTP server, but maybe because the login authentication you provide is wrong

Just check whether those are correct in the communication channel.

Hi,

If no message is processed by XI check first communication channel monitoring. Maybe you won't see anything or see the error.

I supose you won't see any error message so problem could be user who launchs XI adapter engine in that host is not able to access files written by other users. Contact system guys and ask for adding user who launchs XI process to same group user who writes files.

Hope this help you .

Hi,

The best way to find the problem is that you go to the Runtime workbench.

Next go to the component monitoring

Next go to Communication channel monitoring

Check for your sender comm channel. You would obtain a Java exception.

This can be because of Authentication problem of FTP, or

because the folder itself is not accessable by XI.

Also check the File name scehame you provide.

Hi Abhishek!

I suppose to see the Communication Channel Monitoring I have to go to the button CCMS. When I press this button I get the nest error 'Template interpretation cancelled, syntax error. '.

The file I have provided is the same:

This is the structure of the Message type.

Thanks and regards,

Manuel.

Manuel,

Fist open the communication channel and check whether ur sender File channel is error state or success. Try to ping the FTP server and check if it works.
