Hello!!
I have to get a file from my R/3 server and put it on my XI server.
Could I do this with a File Adapter?
If I generate a Comunnication Channel with File Adapter on the Business System corresponding to my R/3, the Source Directory which I indicate is pointing to the R/3 server or is pointing to the XI server?
Thanks and regards,
Manuel Míguez.
Hello,
that the Adapter belongs to your Business System is not the important point.
Important is the Transport Protocol.
If you choose NFS as Transport Protocol in your File Adapter it points to XI.
If you choose FTP as Transport Protocol in your File Adapter you have to define the server under the FTP Connection Parameters.

Patrick

Hi
you have to give the directory address of r3 not xi...because you are going to pick the file from r3 not xi.....
you have to use transport protocol as FTP.

Manuel,
It will point to your XI server not R/3. But you can transfer it using FTP.
