Create sales order.

HI,

While creating sales order it showing error that customer belongs to customer group 4502 and thus can not be sold to party..

Please solve this issues.

hello, Rajendra.

this is just a guess, but do VD02 or XD02 and go to your customer master data > Sales area data > Partner Function tab. check if you have all 4 functions (SP, SH, BP and PY). if not, the account group of this customer is not for a sold-to.

if this is, indeed, the case you have to do some partner determination settings. even if you define an account group by copying this from 0001 (default sold-to), not all partner settings are copied. even if you try to change the account using XD07, the change will not be effective.

first, go to IMG > Log General > Business Partners > Customers > Control > Define account groups, choose the account group 4502 and enter 'AG' in the partner determination procedure. now check your customer master again.

if the 4 functions still do not appear, go to IMG > SD > Basic Func > Partner Determination > Set up partner determination, select for customer master. choose AG and click Account Groups - Function Assignment and assign the 4 functions to your account group.

go back to your customer master and manually add the 4 functions in your customer master.

try creating a sales order. you should be successful.

a last resort, if this still does not work, you can change the account group 4502 to 0001 successfully. you will be able to create a sales order, but the purpose of creating 4502 will be lost.

I have already created obd2 & check xd07.But after using va01 system showing error that customer belongs to customer group 4502 and thus cannot be sold to party.Please mail me how I solve this issues.

Hi,

Check in XD02 ->Extras->Additional Data if there is any customer group is assigned to it.

Hi,

How can 4502 will be customer group. because customer group will take only 2 digits.

Customer master -> sales area data -> sales tab

Go to change mode of customer VD02 and check in the Sales area data , sales tab, what is the customer group you maintained for that customer. remove it.

Now try to create a sales order.

And check it out where u used 4502, is it account group or any thing else.

Hi Rajendra,

The account group 4502 is not used to create sold to party in your system.

Go to T. Code OBD2.

Check the Account group 4502, whether its sold to party or something else.

If this is not sold to party and you created a customer using this account group, then you cant create a sales order using this customer as sold to party.

Chcek what is the account group of sold to party in your system, and change the account group of this customer to sold to party account group using T.Code XD07

Hi Rajendra,

Check whether the Account group for the Sold-to party customer master is defined in customising for "Sold-to party".

As different groups(eg 0001,0007etc.) are assigned to Sold-to party in customising.
