Y do v need the vbap table, i.e. What data does it store?
Hi Mathew,
As you know, what ever the documents we create they will be stored in Tables in SAP.
There are some thousands of tables which store different types of data.
Like that way, VBAP table is one of those tables, which store the line item information of a sales order.
Information like...
Sales Document
Sales Document Item
Material
Material entered
Pricing ref.material
Batch
Material group
Description
Item category
Item type
Itm relev.for deliv.
Relevant for Billing
Higher-level item
Alternative to item
Reason for rejection
Product hierarchy
Out.agr.target val.
Target quantity
Billing block
Replacement part
Billing meth. CO/PPC
Division
Business Area
Net value
Document currency
Max.Part.Deliveries
Part.dlv./item
Batch split allowed
Order quantity
Required deliv. qty
Cumul.confirmed qty
Cumul.confirmed qty
Sales unit
Numerator
Denominator
Gross weight
Net weight ...etc.
These are few fields which I mentioned, like this, VBAP table will store all the information about line item in a sales order.
Hope this is clear
Reward if helpful.
Thanks,
Praveen

hi,
a sales order is divided across header, item and scheduel line data.
Now for example there are 10 line items in a sales order all being bought by one sold to but if i want to send them to 10 different locations with different shipping points, then i should have a way to store item related data specifically. VBAP stores that data.
The item data may be same or different but still we can store that information with the help of VBAP.

sadhu kishore
