Client Proxy - HTTPS?

Hey

Client proxy based on objects in PI -> The communication between the implementing ABAP code in SAP ERP and PI when calling the proxy, can this be HTTPS or is it default/always HTTP?

Hi,

There is a concept of Logical Port that can be potentially used with ABAP proxies to integrate with XI using HTTP destination (RFC destination of type HTTP with url and HTTPS port for SSL communication)

Probably you can look for it.

As per your above post the previous destination willbe replaced.

At a time only one destination could be maintained either for HTTP ot HTTPs

It can be HTTPS also. For that SSL enablement is required

Hey!

Thanks for answering. I know that I can set up HTTPS to PI in SM59, but there we already has an HTTP connection to child PI system. If I then create an HTTPS destination, what will be the default destination? Can I have both HTTP and HTTPS and decide somewhere which of these I want to use?

Hi,

It could be both but HTTP or HTTPS as said by both the experts.

When u create the RFC destination poinitng to XI in R3 it is HTTP connection.

The type of RFC connnection is H default it's HTTP only.
