Regarding BR Tools Upgrade procedures

Hi Techies,

While Upgrading the BR Tools iam having the following doubts:

1.Kernel Upgrade from 640 to 700 includes BR Tools.exe also upgraded ,this is ok or

2.Any Other wat to upgrade BRTools separately.(from the current version to marketplace existing version)640 to 700

can any one suggest me the better soltuion in upgrading the BRTools with the procedures and prerequisites

The BR*Tools 7.00 can be used for all SAP releases that run with an Oracle 10g database, or an Oracle 9.2 database after installing the Oracle Instant Client 10g on the Oracle 9.2 database server.

Hi Esr,

It is not just so simple to install new kernel or brtools as you decide. Kernel version is dependent on oracle version (oracle client version) and sap basis release and the same is brtools. I think brtools 7 are for oracle 10g only (oracle client 10) you cant just unsar it and hope it will be working, search for some sapnotes...

Hi,

The latest version of the BRTools is DBATL700O10_32-20000979.SAR. Uncar the file in a separate directory, then copy the uncarred files to /sapmnt/exe/run directory. Then change the permissions and follow the note 113747
