Stock posting error.

Hi SD Gurus,

Can one give input for my query..

when iam posting intiall stock entry through *MB1C* 561 E M.type against sales order and line item sys is giving warning msg as Sales order (SOBKZ = ) is not provided for this goods movement

and Document is posting and qty also updating in the stock but whn i am doing delivery sys is not copying line item qty which is available in sales order.

hello, friend.

normally, you post inventory into sales order stock only if the sales order transaction supports this type of goods movement. an example scenario if the sales transaction was a make-to-order one.

if you are doing a sales transaction under a make-to-stock (MTS) scenario, posting inventory into sales order stock is not necessary. in fact, you will get an error/warning message. under the MTS scenario, your deliveries will get stocks from the plant/warehouse/storage location/etc. where your materials are.

hi SUNIL,

check ur entry is there in OMJJ tcode for the particular movement which is determined in the sales order.

procedure:go to OMJJ tcodeand select "movement type " check box give ur Movement type in the sales order and in the drop don of "movement type" selct "movement types aloowed "and check ur entry fro that tcode VL01N.

Hi Sunil Kumar,

In which scenario are you working - MTS(make to stock) or MTO(make to order)?

If it is MTO - In the material master record in MRP 2 screen there is a field for "in-hose production" - which Specifies the time in workdays needed to produce the material in-house. Suppose you enter 10. So when you create the sales order say on 21/02/2008 for that item with qty. as 10, then after material & qty. the system takes you to the "availability check" screen where it shows you that that the item will be available only on 02/03/2008. If you click on the "green" button the system will create 2 different schedule lines as follows:

21/02/2008 10 10 **

02/03/2008 *** ** 10.

The last column is for the confirmed qty. Unless the system finds atleast a single qty. in the confirmed qty. field for the date on which the delivery is being created the system will not allow to create the delivery.

CHECK: You check whether the schedule line is confirmed. If not then you said you have created the stock for the sales order no. xyz. Go to VA02 - enter the sales order no. XYZ - double click on the line item - go to schedule lines - select the line item & click on "item availability" - here the system will show for todays date the full qty - click on the green button - the system will immediately change the schedule line - SAVE the sales order.

Now try doing the delivery.

NOTE: If it is MTS scenario then also you have to check whether the schedule lines are confirmed otherwise system will give error at the time of delivery.
