Does Livecache exist only on MAXDB

Please explain me what is live cache? Does this exist only on MAXDB. Please explain me?

Hi,

SAP livecache is an enhancement of the MaxDB and it provides a an easier and more effective representation of the data streams and data structures.

It exists only with MaxDB.

Hi,

MaxDB/liveCache is SAP's database technology product.

LiveCache is an additional object oriented technology based on and integrated into MaxDB. It is a hybrid system that can act either as a standard DBMS or as a memory-based application server extension. A logical further development, therefore, is the liveCache OneDB Server, which is just one database fulfilling both tasks.

It runs on all important SAP applications and is bundled with SAP NetWeaver which means one-stop shopping for SAP customers .
