Mapping Edit/diplay buttons are in disable status---URGENT

Hi Experts,

I am trying to edit the Mapping routines in production system, to actuvate the imported transports.

But Mapping Edit/Display options and button is disabled.

Please help to enable them.

they are design object transports to IR of production system.

And i am using a custome develope program (using transaction code)to transport from Developement to PROD.

I hav'nt checked the option Obects are modifiable.

but if i get a conflict for the imported transported, do i need to check the option and then have to activate it?

Hi,

This problem comes sometimes in Dev as well when people use the JRE version above 1.4.2 or 1.3.

This might be a problem realted to java version.

In prod we never do any changes in IR I am also surprised why changes is required at IR level.

Just check the java version from help->information from IR.

it should be 1.4.2

MK,

You can't edit ur objects in PROD! Why u want to activate in PROD? only ID objects needs to be activated, IR there is no need!

The reason is if u double click on SWC, in the right window bottom u can see Objects are modifiable and changeable options' will not be checked. You should not do it.

i am Importing the transports(Design objects) into Production system.

so we need to activate, only when there is a conflict.

Please suggest.

Double click on the SWCV right hand side , check Objects are modifiable/Changeable are checked or not? If it's not then check it and activate it. But I won't suggest u to do it in PROD.

Thanks Raj,

I got 4 transports of the same design object, which i need to transport to Production system in a sequence.

so it is fine just to import the transports in the required order with out activating.
