hello,

one question: Enterprise Portal 6.0 SP3 integrates the J2EE 6.4 with a own web dynpro runtime. But do i nevertheless need an additional WAS 6.3 or higher to store these web Dynpro applications which i want to use in the portal?

Any idea?

greets daniel

Hi Daniel,

i think, no. As far as i know, there's no "special portal J2EE engine" available. The WebAS 6.40 which is integrated with EP 6.0 SP3 should be the same than the standalone 6.40 version, so Web Dynpro apps should and will run there. The 6.40 is even much more stable than the 6.30 was.

Hope that helps.

Hi Daniel,

NetWeaver '04 is the first synchronized release, where the Enterprise Portal and Web Dynpro use the same J2EE engine (Web AS 6.40). Stefan is right, Web Dynpro apps should run on the machine which uses EP 6.0 SP3.
